In December 2009, the Housing Authority unprecedentedly granted a non-residential flat in Tin Shui
Wai for a common office between Ever Green Association (EGA), Amity Mutual Support Society,
Community Development Alliance, Tin Shui Wai Community Development Network and Comprehensive Social
Security Assistance Alliance with a rental discount offered by the Welfare Department. The five
local organisations wish the provide a large variety of professional services to the residents of
Tin Shui Wai with the best use of resources through collaboration. As a result, the Tin Shui Wai
Community Collaboration Platform (TSWCCP) was created.
The opening ceremony of the office of TSWCCP was held on 12 December 2010 with Professor Anthony
Cheung Bing-leung, then Chairman of the Subsidised Housing Committee of the Housing Authority,
Mr Fu Tsun-hung, then District Social Welfare Officer (Yuen Long), and Mr Peter Cheung Kwok-che,
then Legislative Councillor, as the officiating guests.
TSWCCP solicits views from the residents, hoping that the SAR Government can instruct its bureaux
and departments to be more active in communicating with the people, drawing on the wisdom of the
community. We work to help the development of recycling and other green industries in Tin Shui Wai
by funding those activities.
